SAIKO-POD
(SOLSTICE MUSIC/SPIRAL TRAX/from DENMARK)
SAIKO-POD is the
solo project of Ian Ion, a Danish artist and producer, who boasts
a career spanning 20 years. Ian's brilliant achievements include
record releases and live performances around the world under names
such as OVERLOADS, KOXBOX and SAIKO-POD; collaborations with artists
from various genres, including Blue Pearl, Billy Idol, Sven Vath
and Miro, working as a sound producer at events such as Northern
Europe's premier event; the Roskilde Festival and the Samothraki
Dance Festival in Greece, having his music used in 4 films...and
far too many others to mention here. He collaborated with several
big name remixers from the progressive house and trance scene on
PHUTUREREMIXES, a remix album which innovatively resurrects SAIKO-POD's
first album 'Phutures and Options' in his novel and characteristic
style. The entire album, which spins vividly with funky and groovy
sounds, and is an up to date work never loosing people's interest,
has been hailed as the best demonstration of Ian's rare kind of
production ability. In addition, he is highly regarded as a sound
engineer and for his mix techniques. No doubt this time too, he
will guide the audience on an enjoyable sound trip. |

MITSUMOTO
(JOUJOUKA/ VISIONQUEST)
In 1998 he formed
SINISTER ASSOCIATION and thereafter his music has appeared on various
compilation albums and influenced many people. In 2001, he joined
JOUJOUKA, spearheaded by DJ Tsuyoshi, as a manipulator/keyboardist
and appeared at the Fuji Rock Festival. He also conducts several
solo projects under names such as MITSUMOTO and TRINITI. As a DJ,
he is not only resident DJ for Vision Quest (Playing at all kinds
of large-scale parties within Japan, such as The Gathering and "HARUKAZE",
both sponsored by Vision Quest, and in 2000, at the Soul Techno
Festival in South Korea), but has also appeared with such big names
from the techno world as Jeff Mills, Derric May and Mijk Van Diyk.
In 2003, he supplied music for a television commertial for Dydo
demitasse Coffee and Nippon Lever. Managing the music for the monthly
series "Gekkan Megumi DVD", his activities cover a wide
range of fields. |

Hydro Generator consists
of DJ Toru. He is based on Nagoya, Japan. He has started playing
as a DJ since 1998, Then he would like to do self-expression, and
started creating music in the spring 2002.In his devut live act
on 8th Feb 2003, "Psychedelicious" by New World, he met
Suria(Crystal Matrix/Potugal), Nexus(Kagdila Rec./ Portugal). Thanks
for meeting with them, he got a lot about creating music.Then he
got to play in various parts of Japan (Osaka, Okinawa, Izu, Sapporo,
Takayama, Shiga,and of course in his native place, Nagoya, etc...).
Concurrently he experienced a lot,met with top artists of the world,
Absolum(3d Vision/ Fr), Dark Nebura(Digital Psionics/ Aus),Joujouka(Feedback/
Jp), Psydrop(Agitato/ Isr), Melicia(Phonokol/ Isr), Space Tribe(Spirit
Zone/ Aus),Damage(Chemical Crew/ Timecode/ SA), Drap Drop(G-echoes/
Bra & Jp), and he proceeded his creation skill. Joined with
other musician(guitarist, vocalist, sax player, etc..), His sound
ranges melodic uplifting to shanti groove, and of course, mixed
his own originality. His live act takes you to the journey, to "Nirai",

TSUYOSHI
(JOUJOUKA/FEEDBACK Rec/TOKIODROME)
A graduate in film
from the Japanese University of Art, strongly influenced by the
British new wave of the 80's, he traveled to England alone and started
Djing in '93. In '95 he rode the wave of rave culture and all at
once got to know the world's top artists. After that, he began MATSURI
PRODUCTIONS. Besides Japan, during the '90's he also traveled to
festivals, raves and parties in places around the world including;
Europe, America, Australia, the Republic of South Africa and Israel.
In 2000 he transferred his base to Tokyo and established a new label;
MADSKIPPERS, FEEDBACK RECORDINGS. He is also actively involved in
his own band; JOUJOUKA. In '03 he began a new party "NEWROMANCER"
at AGEHA. He is an international DJ/Producer who excites people
all over the world. |

RYO
(SOLSTICE MUSIC)
He is well known
as the resident DJ of SOLSTICE MUSIC, he has played at many big
parties, frequently sharing the stage with top artists from around
the world. He is very skillful and highly regarded for freely using
various types of track as he constructs his own characteristic mood,
regularly appearing as a guest at events other than SOLSTICE MUSIC,
recently he has also started to make his own tracks. He recorded
two tracks for the mix CD "Outback Eclipse Festival- The Live"
under the name ELEGRAFFITI and also recorded and original track
as well as a GMS remix track for "Fractal", the first
compilation album of the new label Gurimor. This will be his third

SHUNGO

feb's exemplary resident
DJ, he energetically participates in events all over Japan, reliably
mixing sounds that overflow with progressive, techno and psychedelic
and is held in high regard by many people. The recent memories of
his Djing at COUNTDOWN in Okinawa and acting as a member of NIRAI
have brought him attention. This time too, he will heat up the audience
with the reassuring power of his playing. |

MAKOTO

Since '96 he has
been mainly playing at outdoor parties at various locations around
Japan. In situations ranging from a few core people, right up to
big parties with 1000 people, his style, which expresses his characteristic
world view and a love of being outdoors, is unique. He is a rare
DJ who includes even the mountains, the sea and the air in his mixes.
This year he has joined as one of the organizers and DJs starting
the party 8bit, which is addictive for core dance freaks. So with
Experience Addiction; "The one day festival, removed from time";
in July, feb's open air festival in August, DJ Makoto who has been
a main DJ with feb since the beginning, is going to make the summer
vividly colourful! |

KAGIWO

Since starting both
Djing and party organizing in '97, he has organized many parties
at the core of the Nagoya scene. From 2004, he has joined with DJ
Makoto and DJ Gyro to start the new party 8bit, which is not limited
to any particular genre, but simply presents pure dance music. With
this popular DJ style he is often commissioned to play at techno,
lounge, breaks and other parties. "Feb always sums up my Djing
year and is a personal highlight of the summer. I'm really looking
forward to this year too." |

ABE

Since starting to
DJ in 1991, his activities have been organizing many parties and
organizing LTS. He is currently the resident DJ of Plant Ben Records
and this summer is planning Planetary Nation Vol2. His other musical
activities include participating I the making of a compilation album
comprising Organic Noise and X-Dream and his musical taste is highly
regarded by foreign artists. With his activities extending from
Tokyo and Yokohama to Osaka and Nagoya, Abe's DJ style ranges from
Progressive to Psychedelic and is maintained by many users. This
year he is also scheduled to participate in a European tour. |

GYRO

A DJ since '93, in
'99 he started the trance party "Portararuka". Now he
appears at various parties and makes use of that experience in playing
GYRO style trance to many audiences. This year, he has started a
new style trance party; 8bit, which has opened fresh new doors.
At this time, he himself is very excited about feb and anticipates
playing with great enthusiasm. |

TREAD
a.k.a. Hiroshi Watanabe (norm)
Studied at the Berklee
College of Music, Boston from '90 and after graduating in '95, moved
to New York where he started Djing. After returning to Japan in
'99, he was an active musician releasing records, Djing live and
producing, all under various names including; KAITO, TREAD, NITE
SYSTEM, QUADRA and HIROSHIWATANABE. In '01 he released TREAD and
TREAD2. His casually constructed fusion of melody with dry beats
has established a new form, and despite being recorded on his own
independent label NORM, they became big hits and he received interest
from people in many areas including; house, techno and electronic
music. In '02 he released TREAD3, which reached the No. 1 position
on the underground chart UK ZZUBB and sold out immediately from
record shops in Detroit due to its high evaluation. '04 awaits the

TOSLINK

This is the new project
of Seiichiro, who has been working on his PC and drum machine in
his plentiful spare time and Ikuho, whose music sense has been fostered
during his long career as a DJ. This will be their first live with
Djembe Master Junji. Not concerned about genre, just using comfortable
drum machine beats and fascinating audiences with a mixture of live
and mixed music. Having spent about 2 years fostering this sound,
it will be played at feb 2004. |

AO is a sound designer
for movies and commercials.He became conscious of visual music in
1989.Since then he has strived to mix music and visual images.The
unit called "RADII&LUDI" was formed in 2000 and they
performed NENOUE-KOUGEN FES,FIFA SAMURAI NIGHT in NIIGATA,MUSHI
NO NE, and also a regular event called "5.1 SURROUND LIVE"
at OMAMORI in DAIKANYAMA. They consolidate progressive ambient sounds,and
this year and trying to make a point of regulaly playing music like
progressive house and jazz.In addiction they aim to bring dj and

1993 Started his
career as a Hip Hop DJ. 1996: Doubled the speed of BPM, and devoted
to DﾕnﾕB. At the same time, widened his view and pressed on, taking
a weaving course. 1998: Abandoned persistence to the same genre,
and changed his style bohemianly. 2000: Participated in [Mt. Fuji
Aid] sponsored by Bill Laswell and Toshinori Kondo, and [The World
Festival of Sacred Music] proposed by Dalai Bla_ma. Thus, widened
his activity field in a convincing way and released a number of
works from audio sutra、incector labo、timepieces, etc. Love ethnic
music and water plant from the bottom of his heart. His bohemian
style of mix is highly evaluated at various places. |

IKUHO

The main organizer
and resident DJ of Feb. Since starting djing in '96, he has managed
many parties and events and djed in many different fields. His favourite
music extends across a wide range of genres including; Progressive,
Trance, Dub, Chill and Ambient and that mix continues to impress
many people. Since starting feb in 2001, he has not organized many
parties, but prefers high quality events which take a long time
in the planning and has been fascinating a lot of party people.
From this year he has also embarked on a new project; TOSLINK. |

These two are also
active as professional skaters. The ﾒPMAﾓ brand produced by JAH
is also developing in the nationwide. Produce a number of mix CDs

NITEQ
NITEQ is one of the
top VJ group, led by a VJ TOKKEY, and was formed in 1997. Having
its base in Nagoya, started the VJ activity. In the recent years,
have widened their activity areas in the nationwide、 focusing on
trans techno scenes such as outdoor events. Play at big parties
that lead Japanese scenes such as VISION QUEST ﾒGATHERING,ﾓ ARCADIA,
and SOLSTICE. With spacey video using the state of the art CG technology
and psychedelic vision created by R313 experience, raise the trans
techno dimension to change the dance floor to an ark of a different
dimension. In addition to a VJ at club, actively engaged in a wide
variety of fields, for instance, participation in the ﾒX-MODEﾓ series
as the world first VJ DVD in 2001, and offering of visions to VJ
software ﾒFuseﾓ and various video material collections. At present,
succeed in music promotion video shows for X-Dream, -BOX, and ASTRAL

from 1999. A solo project by KAGE. Having a base in Nagoya, engaged
in his activity in Osaka and Gifu. With a thorough principle focusing
on the dance floor, carry through power play abundant with feeling
of live performance of video. Continue creating a space where sound
matches with video, and receive good reputation from various artists
inside and outside of Japan. This time, he acts as a free style
VJ for the first time at feb, so he himself does not know what will
happen. So, we look forward to unexpected development. |
